FAQS

St. Louis Broadband Fixed Wireless network uses point-to-point and multipoint technologies. Our network employs the most advanced broadband wireless technology with an average up time of 99.9% with ping times in the 10 to 30 ms range.  Cable and DSL connections can range anywhere from 100 to 300 ms, while satellite can be up to 500 ms.

Wireless Broadband access is the next-generation technology that is quick to install, cost-effective, fast and reliable. For business customers our wireless gateway will easily integrate with your existing network.

Fixed wireless is a means of transporting Internet access via radio frequencies over the air waves, similar to how radio stations work.  Fixed wireless is the technology that we use to get it to you, we then wire the connection to your network.

A Point-to-Point connection only goes to one primary connection, while multipoint is distributed in a similar fashion as cell carriers use.  It covers a cell or radius area where multiple connections can occur.

A "Ping time" is when we send a packet of information on our network and it is then received and re-transmitted back to us.
